Congratulations to the Chiefs for winning the Michigan High School Division 1 Championship with a 1-0 victory over Grand Haven.  Goal by Dan Ovesea with 4 minutes to play on a set piece.

The Chiefs beat De La Salle 1-0 on a goal by Griffin Parks with the assist to Ken Krolicki.  Another shutout for Steven Murphy.

The Chiefs now face Grand Haven for the Division 1 State Championship scheduled for Saturday, November 5.  The time is currently TBD.

Chiefs Win! Chiefs Win!

The Chiefs beat AA Pioneer for the 2nd time this season - 4-1 victory - to claim the Region 2 Title and advance to the state Semi-Finals against Warren DeLasalle. The game will be played Wednesday, November 2, 6:00, at Farmington High School. Goals by Dan Ovesea, Mitch Posuniak, Nathan Bergeson, and Connor Furgason.

The Chiefs advance to the Region 2 Final for the 3rd straight year with a win over Dearborn 3-0.  Two goals by Dan Ovesea and a goal by Mitch Posuniak.   The Chiefs are now 21-1-2. 

The Chiefs will face Ann Arbor Pioneer at Saline High School - 1:00 - Saturday, October 29.  Beware of U of M Football traffic.

CONGRATS TO THE CHIEFS for winning the KLAA Championship with a 3-0 victory over Walled Lake Northern.  Mitch Pepper had two goals, Tyler Winningham had two assists.  And Connor Furgason had one goal and one assist.  Steven Murphy had 9 saves for the shutout.

The Chiefs open District play at home on Monday, October 17 against Ann Arbor Skyline, 5:00, on the Varsity Turf.

The Chiefs got first half goals from seniors Mitch Posuniak and Nathan Bergeson - both assisted by senior Brian Berinti. Chandler Olah (junior) scored in each half for the host Wildcats. Seniors Steven Murphy (Canton) and Rene Mejia (Plymouth) were in goal.

Canton remains atop the KLAA South with a 6-0-1 record (12-1-2 overall), while Plymouth holds on to second place with a 4-2-1 mark.

The JV beat Plymouth 5-1 improving their record to 10-1-1.

Canton scored twice in the first half on goals by Mitch Posuniak (senior) from Griffin Parks (sophomore), and Mitch Pepper (senior) from Posuniak. Churchill got a second half goal by Mike Murphy (junior), and Canton got one by Connor Furgason (senior) from Parks. Canton's Steven Murphy (senior) made a dozen saves, including one on a penalty.

Canton improves to 12-1-1 (overall) and 6-0-0 in the KLAA South.

Canton defeats Ann Arbor Pioneer, 3-1.  Article Here

Pioneer scored first, midway in the first half - Josh Graves (junior) from Adam Carn Saferstein (senior) on a free kick. Canton tied it before half on a goal by Connor Furgason (senior) from Tyler Winningham (senior), also on a direct kick - the first goal Pioneer has conceded this season. Canton added two in the second half, the first by Mitch Pepper (senior) from Scott Piwowar (junior), and the second from Shean Krolicki (senior). Steven Murphy (senior) was in goal for the Chiefs and made seven saves.

Canton is now 10-1-1 (overall) and 4-0-0 (KLAA South) on the season.

The JV beat Ann Arbor Pioneer 1-0.

The Chiefs finished the 2011 Balconi tournament with a record of 2 wins and 1 tie settling for an overtime decision to Walled Lake Northern in the final via PK's (4-1).

The Chiefs beat U of D 2-1 with goals by Nathan Bergeson and Tyler Winningham.  2 assists to Mitch Posuniak.  The Chiefs then beat AA Huron 2-1 with goals by Dan Ovesea and Mitch Posuniak.  An assist goes to Shean Krolicki.  The Chiefs tied Walled Lake Northern in regulation with a goal by Connor Furgason.  Assist to Griffin Parks.  Connor Furgason scored the lone goal for Canton in PK's.

Please note schedule changes for all three teams.  The Varsity home game vs. Plymouth has been moved to 4:00 on Thursday, September 8.  The JV will also play at 4:00 on the Freshman Grass.  The Thursday, September 29 game vs. Wayne Memorial is set for an away game with the Varsity starting at 4:00 and the JV set for 5:30.  The open date for the Freshman on September 1 has been removed.  The September 21 Salem game has been moved to September 22.

 - The volunteer forms will be uploaded shortly
 - Focal Point will be taking team and player photos on Wednesday, September 21 outside the Canton North Building.  Varsity 3:15, JV 3:35, Freshman 3:50.  The Freshman time may  change to avoid a game conflict.  Stay tuned.

Here is the most current information we have regarding Canton Boys Soccer over the next few months.

1.  Captains practices

Captains practices will start the week of June 27th and end the week of July 18th. The week of July 4th will be off.

The practices will begin around 7pm and run for approximately an hour.  It hasn't been determined if they will be on Mon/Wed or Tues/Thur - more info to come as we get closer to the date.  


2.  Team camp

A Team Camp is tentatively planned for the last week of July at Eastern Michigan.  Details to come.


3.  Fitness camp (at PCEP)

Fitness Camp will be  August 1, 2, 3, 4.   Cost will be $50 per person.  Flyer Here


4.  Tryouts

Tryouts are scheduled for August 10, 11 & 12th.  Times and PCEP field location will be provided when available.

To be able to participate in tryouts, your son must have a current Physical Exam Form (link provided below), dated after 4/15/11.

This form must be brought to the field on the first day of tryouts.
